Mortar, brick and stone matchingUsing appropriate mortar, bricks and stone for repairs and alterations is important for the success of the work carried out.
We are able to match existing mortar.
We have access to brick libraries which contain samples of most bricks produced in the UK. We also have arrangements with a number of traditional brick manufacturers who can match almost all historic bricks for colour, texture and size.
Using the correct stone for stonework repairs is vital and not only for the appearance. Using a stone that is too hard can cause moisture build up in the historic stonework making it susceptible to frost damage. We have arrangements with geologists who can assist in identifying suitable stone for repair work and alterations.
