Building MaterialsThis section contains traditional materials such as lath and reed for use as a backing for lime plaster. Although historically reed would have been fixed directly onto the building, it is now conveniently avaivable in pre formed boards and mat which can easily be fixed with nails, staples or screws to timberwork.
The range of other boards which includes Pavatherm, Diffutherm, Isolair and Heraklith are modern materials made almost entirely of wood from sustainable resources. They are breathable and therefore very compatible with historic solid wall and timber frame construction as well as for New Build. They have excellent insulation properties for use in walls, ceilings and floors. Other insulation materials include Leca for solid breathable floor construction and Thermafleece, sheeps wool insulation as a natural, easy-to-handle, alternative to fibre-glass and rockwool.All our prices are shown excluding carriage for which we will arrange the cheapest method of delivery.
